Background

JENHO has implemented comprehensive capacity-building initiatives across Afghanistan to strengthen institutional performance, enhance service delivery, and promote sustainable community and organizational development. These interventions focus on empowering Cooperating Partners, school staff, community members, and frontline personnel to improve program quality, operational efficiency and long-term resilience.

Implemented health interventions include:

Operational and technical training for Cooperating Partners (CPs) in operations management, supply chain systems, logistics, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E)
Strengthening food security and school feeding programs, including accountability, reporting, and standardized implementation practices
Training on child protection, gender mainstreaming, and Complaint and Response Mechanisms (CRM) to improve safeguarding and community accountability
Development and dissemination of manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and policies to ensure consistency and quality across projects
Teacher training in girls-oriented schools, focusing on classroom management, inclusive teaching practices, and effective learning methodologies
