Background

JENHO has implemented emergency and disaster response interventions aimed at providing timely, life-saving assistance to communities affected by natural disasters, displacement and humanitarian emergencies through integrated and community based approaches.

Implemented emergency and disaster response interventions include:

Rapid emergency response for flood, earthquake, displacement, and other humanitarian emergencies
Provision of readymade hot-meals in the time of emergencies and MPCA.
Distribution of emergency food assistance, non-food items (NFIs), shelter and winterization support for affected households
Community based disaster preparedness, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and emergency awareness activities
Construction and rehabilitation of emergency resilience and mitigation infrastructure in disaster prone areas
